It was precisely for this reason that Marco Polo left his beloved Venice in 1269 to set out on his journey to the East along the Silk Road. Fascinated by such a different culture, he pushed on as far as the Catai in northern China, thus opening up new trade relationships. The story of this journey mixes with legends, but everyone knows that he managed to revolutionize the world from a cultural, religious and technological point of view.
In recent years, the Chinese government has invested in an ambitious infrastructure plan to reopen the Silk Road and give international trade a new future. This has revived and given new notoriety to places that had been long forgotten, bringing to light the charm that this ancient trade route has always evoked.
To celebrate Italy – China relations, Maison Tardini has created a new version of the Royal Tiger, a testament to the creative richness and unparalleled know-how of Italian craftsmen, deliberately wrapped in a natural element with strong oriental appeal: bamboo.
The Maison offers two versions of the buckle: the champlevé version with bamboo decorated with black enamel and the diamond version, embellished with G coloured natural white diamonds.
